Advertising on the TexasTouristGuide.com is extremely easy and can be done in a matter of minutes. The site is designed so that you can easily update your ads. Not only does this mean that your ad will always be up-to-date, but you can offer special deals and discount coupons, which you can change daily, weekly or monthly.
Steps for Advertising on the Texas Tourist Guide.
1- Click on ADVERTISE at the top of the web page.
2- Click on ADVERTISE button at the bottom of that page when you are ready.
3- Complete the Advertiser Account Set-Up Form which is the first screen you will see. The items on the first screen are:
Company Name:
Address Line 1: need street address (physical location of your business) in Address Line 1 in order for mapping feature to properly work
Address Line 2:
City:
Area:
State: Texas
Zip Code: zip for physical address of business
E-mail: e-mail that you want customers to contact
Telephone: phone that you want customers to call
4- Complete Payment Information (pay on-line with a credit card or mail check).
5- An e-mail will be automatically sent to you. The e-mail will contain your account user name and password.
6- You can logon to TexasTouristGuide.com at the top of the screen (“Advertiser Login”) using your account name and password and complete your advertisement. Click “Add Details" when you are ready to add the following items to your advertisement:
Fax Number: (that you want tourists to use)
Email: (that you want tourists to use)
Website: (website for your business)
Description: (unlimited text)
Summary: (summarize business in 1 or 2 sentences; no more than about 50 words)
Special Offer(s): (You can use for any current special offers that you have. Three or four lines per offer would be best. You will want to come back to this fairly often to keep it up-to-date.)
Pop-up: Very useful for menus, price list, etc.
7- Important Step You must “Edit Services” and identify the Service Offered and the Type of Service prior to adding images.
8- You can now add up to ten pictures. Simply click on “Edit Images” and follow the process.
9- After you have completed the advertisement, the staff at TexasTouristGuide.com will review the advertisement and will then make the ad "live" after it is approved. TexasTouristGuide.com will notify you when it is live.
10- You can logon to TexasTouristGuide.com at the top of the screen (“Advertiser Login”) using your account name and password and make changes to your advertisement at no cost at any time. When a change is made, the staff at TexasTouristGuide.com must review it and make it “live” on the website again.
